Ki Shares Win With Northrop Grumman for U.S. Navy C4I Installation Support Contract for East and West Coast Ships and Facilities

A team led by Northrop Grumman Corporation has been selected by the U.S. Navy Space and Naval Warfare Systems Command (SPAWAR) to compete for task orders to provide shipboard, submarine and shore-based Command, Control, Communications, Computers and Intelligence (C4I) global installation support.

Northrop Grumman subsidiary AMSEC LLC was awarded an indefinite delivery, indefinite quantity (ID/IQ), multiple-award contract with a ceiling of $794 million. In addition, the contract includes an option that, if exercised, would increase the ceiling value to approximately $1.3 billion.

Ki, LLC, as a significant subcontractor to AMSEC, will provide shipboard and shore-based C4I engineering, integration, installation, and field services support in Charleston, S.C.; Norfolk/Tidewater Area, Va.; Mayport, Fla.; San Diego; and other continental United States and worldwide areas. Additionally, Ki will provide senior program management support as the Shore Installation Project Manager for the AMSEC team. The work is expected to be completed by January 2016.

Ki Virginia Operations has a New Home!

Ki, LLC Virginia Operations (VA Ops) completed its relocation from Chesapeake to Virginia Beach, VA in December 2010. This strategic move has placed VA Ops in a better location to serve its Government customers, foster key business/industry relationships, and play a more integral role in the Navy contracting community.

The new facility is a state-of-the-art, 7,800 sq. ft. operations center with administrative offices, onsite warehousing, engineering and integration centers, and professional conferencing facilities. As a result of this move, VA Ops is now able to achieve a 55 to 60 percent reduction in operating cost without sacrificing any operational capabilities and providing a much improved and productive office environment.

Getting back to the basics” is a driving force in the philosophy embraced by Ki’s VA Ops Operations Manager, Robert (Bob) Bondi. His vision embraces making Ki as efficient and effective as possible. Small Business Commerce Association (SBCA) announced that Ki, LLC has been selected for the 2010 Best of Business Award in the Defense Contracting category.

The SBCA 2010 Award Program recognizes the top 5% of small businesses throughout the country. Ki Engineers Complete a Successful System Replacement on the USS George Washington (CVN-73)

A team of more than 20 Ki engineers and integration technicians successfully completed a major Interior communications system replacement onboard USS George Washington (CVN-73) in Yokosuka, Japan. The team returned home in May from the 3-month deployment, which was accomplished ahead of schedule and under the expected budget of $1.6 M for the project. Work was accomplished for SPAWAR Atlantic under our prime SPAWAR Contract # N65236-07-D-8842.
